Meet Our Team

DSC00113.JPGDr. Tony Alber

Dr. Alber is from Roswell, New Mexico where he grew up watching his dad work as a mixed animal veterinarian.  He went to New Mexico State University before his acceptance into veterinary school.  He graduated from Colorado State University with his degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) in 2000.  He practiced at Power Road Animal Hospital in east Mesa for 6 years, and served as its medical director for 2 years.  In June of 2006, he took over Prestige Animal Clinic from the previous owner and has been dedicated to all of his clients and patients ever since.

Originally from the midwest, Dr. Freeman transplanted to Gilbert, Arizona in 1989.  She graduated from Gilbert High School (Go Tigers!) in 1993.  She then attended the University of Arizona before attending Colorado State University for veterinary school.  She graduated from Colorado State University in 2000 with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree Summa Cum Laude (top of her class).  She then completed an intensive one year internship at Mesa Veterinary Hospital working with specialists in multiple areas of veterinary medicine.  She then stayed on with Mesa Veterinary Hospital for 3 more years as a general practitioner before moving over to Power Road Animal Hospital to work with her husband, Dr. Alber, in 2004.  In June of 2006, Dr. Alber and Dr. Freeman were ready to begin their own practice so they took over Prestige Animal Clinic in Gilbert from the previous owner.

Jen_Tony.jpgDr. Alber and Dr. Freeman's story

We met in veterinary school and graduated in the same class from Colorado State University in 2000.  We moved to the east valley after graduation and married in 2002.  We have 2 young boys, ages 5 and 2, and have 2 very energetic terriers, Buck and Truman.  We enjoy working together and have tried very hard to make great improvements to the building and practice of Prestige Animal Clinic.  We appreciate our dedicated staff and feel fortunate to have such wonderful people helping us to make our practice better each day!

NOREEN.JPGNoreen, Receptionist

Hi, I'm Noreen.  I have worked as a receptionist for over 10 years and I love the animals and their people.  There is a great family atmosphere working here at Prestige with Dr. Alber and Dr. Freeman and that makes it a great place to work.  I have 5 dogs (3 Bullmastiffs and 2 Boston terriers).  I absolutely adore them...they certainly make life interesting!

Hi, my name is Bev and I am one of the receptionists you will meet when you visit Prestige Animal Clinic.  Dogs have been a big part of my life for more than 20 years.  Over that time, I have competed with several of my own dogs in obedience and confirmation, finishing several champions in both categories.  Presently we have 3 dogs, a Rottweiler, German Shorthair Pointer and a Pit Bull mix.  There is nothing I enjoy more than working with animals and their owners, either in training or here at Prestige.

LINDA.JPGLynda, Certified Veterinary Technician

Hi, my name is Lynda.  I grew up in west Texas where my Dad brought home every orphaned animal imaginable for my Mom to raise. We had everything from raccoons to crows. I can still remember at the age of 4 standing on my tip toes at a veterinary hospital trying to see what the doctor was doing to my puppy.  I knew from that moment I wanted to be in the veterinary field. I attended both UT Arlington and Texas A&M University where I was preparing to attend vet school, but my husband's job relocated us to Arizona. My oldest daughter, Krystal, is now in her third year of veterinary school.  My youngest daughter Jordan, age 11, is an animal lover too and I wouldn't be surprised if she follows the rest of us into veterinary medicine. I have been a veterinary technician for almost 20 years now and I love it!  I have a wonderful pitbull named Moochie, a peach faced lovebird named Pretty Bird, and 2 horses named Joey and Jazzie.

I was born and raised in a Mesa farm-like community where I was surrounded by cats, dogs, horses, chickens, ducks...you name it, I've probably been around it.  I have been married for 10 years (my husband is also a Certified Veterinary Technician) and we have 2 children; our daughter is 5 and our son is 3.  I've been in the veterinary profession for 12 years, receiving certification in 2005.  I am currently furthuring my medical schooling at MCC.  I have had the privelege of working with Drs. Alber and Freeman for the past 6 years.  I cherish my friendships with co-workers and adore working with furry, four-legged friends.  I have 3 cats (Sparticus, Kitty Boy, and Sienna) and 5 horses (Junior, Shevy Chruck, Hadem, Katrina, and Charidee) and between everything in my life, I stay pretty busy.

Heather, Veterinary Assistant

Hi, my name is Heather. I'm originally from Massachusetts. I have five dogs, two cats, and one bird. My family moved to Arizona a few years ago, and I decided it was time for me to join them. I worked at a Human Medical Clinic for several years back east. I decided with my move that I wanted to do what I really loved, work with animals. I'm fortunate that I found Dr. Alber and Dr. Freeman as my vets who were willing to hire me. I hadn't worked with animals before, only people.  I am now working with a wonderful group of people, and I love coming here every day.
